Pediatric Spinal Cord Injury Symposium, September 2013

Shriners Hospital for Children

The symposium provided a full day interdisciplinary conference highlighting breakthroughs in pediatric spinal cord injury research, technology, and treatments. Lecturers included doctors, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and patients. Conference goers were awarded a certificate of completion. This experience confirmed my interest in both the pediatric population and spinal cord injury and significantly influenced my fieldwork choices the following year.
